Venturi filter rod is a new type of filter rod developed according to the special requirements of heating cigarettes.

Its main characteristics are: the internal hollow part is a straight-through cavity structure with the shape of venturi (or corrugated tube shape), when cigarette smoke passes through the venturi type hollow rod, due to the continuous change of the diameter of the internal cavity part from contraction to expansion, the smoke is in a strong turbulence, which not only reduces the adsorption of the smoke aerosol on the wall of the tube and ensures the smoke volume, but also has a heat transfer coefficient 2-4 times than ordinary hollow tube. 

On the other hand, the smoke aerosol undergoes the process of turbulent collision and collision cohesion when expanding and atomization when contracting, and the specific surface area increases during the second atomization, which absorbs the heat in the air and further reduces the temperature of the smoke.

It is suitable for two-stage heating non-burning (HNB) cigarettes.

At present, Venturi Filter Rod of regulation of 132mm*22.25mm developed by us has been applied in batch on ‘FARSTAR’ brand heated cigarettes by China Tobacco Enterprises .
